The fugitives reunite in search of a hidden treasure, a stash of money buried by a fellow inmate. 

But their pursuit is complicated by the arrival of Alexander Mahone, a federal agent tasked with their capture. Unbeknownst to them, Mahone is a pawn of The Company, the sinister organization that orchestrated Lincoln's imprisonment.

As Sara discovers her father's tragic fate, she joins Michael in a desperate mission to bring down the corrupt President Reynolds. Their journey leads them to Panama, where they face new dangers and unexpected alliances. But the pursuit never ends.
